The Publicity Manager develops and executes publicity campaigns, secures media coverage, and manages external PR firms for assigned campaigns.

Knowledge: Working knowledge of crafting and delivering professional pitches to media outlets with at least two years’ experience pitching to national media. 2+ years’ experience in publishing or entertainment publicity preferred. Knowledge of media contact and engagement platforms, such as Cision.
Work Experience: 5+ years working in public relations field.
Education: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on public relations, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
Industry Knowledge: Keen understanding of publicity and its function is required. Established media contacts at general market media outlets. Book publishing and/or digital content-related publicity experience preferred.
